Checklist

  1. Will this technology enhance my lesson?

    1. What are my learning objectives?

The teachers indicated using platforms such as Kahoot, YouTube, and games to enhance the student’s skills.

  1. How will this technology benefit my students?

The teachers suggested using technology that is driven by the students; therefore, they will be more interested in the lesson. Kahoot was suggested by Teacher 3 and students tend to enjoy this tool.

  1. Is the technology user-friendly and accessible?

    1. Can the students access the technology away from school?

The teachers suggested using technology that was easy to use. This would be beneficial to the students and the teachers. Most students have access to YouTube and Teacher 3 suggested using it as a tool.

  1. What are the potential challenges and how will I address them?

The teachers didn’t suggest any problems they had with any of the technology they used, but I could see any of the platforms causing an issue if the students decided not to participate.

  1. How does this technology allow students to demonstrate what they’ve learned?

  1. Does this technology assess the student’s knowledge?

Teacher 1 indicated that using Class Kick, Pink Cat, formative.com, and Blooket was effective in her virtual classroom and didn’t hinder students’ learning.

  1. Does the technology provide a way to differentiate instruction?

Teacher 2 indicated using polling tools and pointers for students to answer questions. This is a good way to differentiate instruction for students who may not want to write or use the microphone to answer a question.
