About Me

My name is Brittany Miller and I live in Milton, FL. Milton is in the "Panhandle", which is northwest Florida. I am 30 minutes from Pensacola and 30 minutes from Navarre. I have been teaching for ten years and two of those years have been in the virtual setting, which is where I teach now. I am a special education teacher, but have taught health and science in previous years. The types of technology that I enjoy using are two monitors, Nearpod, and YouTube. 

I enjoy using two monitors because it helps in having multiple tabs open, especially when teaching a virtual class. I enjoy using Nearpod because it allows the students and teachers to interact during lessons in real-time and has lots of premade lessons available for teacher use. I enjoy using YouTube when teaching because it is very relevant to today's students and can be used to reinforce skills and make a mundane lesson enjoyable. I also like to play music or a short video at the beginning of my class and allow the first few minutes for socializing between the students.
